My boss is gone. Now what?

How to prepare for what’s next.

Maybe there’s been a reduction-in-force at your company. Maybe it’s a reorganization, and you report to someone new. It’s possible you have a new VP or department-head, too.

If a recent leadership change has happened at your company, it’s natural to worry: What will this new leader do, and how will it affect me?

Though stressful and somewhat destabilizing, leadership changes follow some pretty consistent patterns — and knowing these patterns can help you prepare for what’s next. I cover this in my book, Surviving Change at Work and recently appeared on the Simplify podcast to talk about this very topic.

P.S. I’ve been offering workshops empowering leaders with tools to manage change at outfits like Netlify and Pluralsight. If you’re experiencing a lot of change in your company, let’s talk.
