A change is going to come

Between layoffs, “doing more with less,” and strategy pivots, right now it’s tough to navigate the sea of uncertainty at work.

While we can try to be flexible and adaptable, not everyone is open to even more change in this environment.

Some folks dig in their heels, unable to hear new ideas, fatigued by the possibility of yet another shift.

This resistance can show up as:

  • Protective or secretive behavior

  • Asking the same question over and over again

  • Indignation or rants in public channels

  • Friction around hierarchy and decision-making (i.e. “going above someone’s head”)

But you know there’s more change on the horizon.

Maybe it’s:

  • Market changes that put new demands on your product

  • Processes that have to scale if the team is going to sustain itself

  • New team members are coming on board, or even new managers

When you’re making changes that affect people, product, or process…

  • How do you prepare your team to be more adaptable?

  • How do you get everyone aligned and swimming in the right direction?

  • How will you message these changes across the organization?

  • How will you measure that your changes have worked?

Introducing Rolling out change

I’ve developed a new workshop to help individual contributors and managers roll out change in their organizations.

Rolling out change will be a virtual workshop, and spots will open soon.
